Electric vehicle charge points in Portsmouth

Portsmouth City Council was one of the first local authorities to receive funding from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles for an 'on-street residential charge point scheme'. In built-up cities like Portsmouth, off-street parking is not an option for many residents so the council plans to install up to 50 charge points on-street, as a three-year trial. You can find out more about the scheme on the council's website.

In addition, electric vehicle charge points have been installed in each of the three council-owned off-street car parks, as part of a two-year trial.
