Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival

The Big Bike Revival scheme provides funding and support so that independent bike shops, recycling centres and bike mechanics can offer free services to help get more people on two wheels. Below are details of local centres participating in the Big Bike Repair Service, which you can find out more about here.

rideride Cycle Workshop

Bitterne Triangle based bike shop are running a pop up shop in Bevois Valley every Tuesday from 2-6pm until 12th January. Bike safety checks, adjustments and minor repairs will be provided rideride bike mechanics. Check our Events Page for more details. Transition Southampton

*SUSPENDED* Community based Bike2Basics Bike Doctors will be running on alternate Saturdays outside St Denys Community Centre. Southampton Bike Kitchen

*SUSPENDED* The Southampton Bike Kitchen is back on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm on a Bike Doctor basis. Tools will not be available but you can bring bikes on a first come first served basis for safety checks and minor repairs by volunteers.

The Hub Cycleworks

The Hub Cycleworks will be providing a Pop-Up Bike Doctor service, including bike safety checks, adjustments, minor repairs and safety advice. Replacement parts e.g. inner tubes and chains are available for a fee. D locks and lights are also available to buy. Click here for their website. Monty’s Bike Hub

Monty’s Bike Hub is providing a pop-up Bike Doctor service on alternate Wednesdays at Weston Shore, including bike safety checks, adjustments, minor repairs and safety advice. Please adhere to social distancing when visiting the Bike Doctor. Click here for their Facebook page and contact details.

New Forest Bike Project

Community social enterprise New Forest Bike Project will be running free bike checks outside their New Milton premises every Tuesday from September until the middle of November.
